Our Story – African Pride Collection (AfriPride SA)
African Pride Collection was founded in late 2021, in the wake of the global COVID-19 pandemic - a time when the world slowed down, but creativity and curiosity found new space to grow.
What started as a simple question quickly turned into a movement.
After seeing a pair of flip flops designed with bold African patterns, we became fascinated with how culture could be transferred onto everyday products. That curiosity led to our very first creation: flip flops sublimated with Venda fabric-inspired prints - a product that marked the beginning of our journey into African design and modern production techniques.
From that moment, African Pride Collection was built on a clear mission:
to transform African heritage into contemporary, high-quality products that people can wear, use, and share with pride.
Where Culture Meets Technology
At African Pride Collection, we don’t limit ourselves to one medium - because African creativity has never been one-dimensional.
